NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work is an introductory Qualification that provides bask information about health and safety as per international standard to increase the awareness among the individuals about the hazards in the workplace, to reduce accidents occurrence and improve health and safety culture.

This qualification is available in both languages Arabk and English and it is an ideal first step towards other higher level NEBOSH qualifications including NEBOSH's International General Certificate and NEBOSH International Diploma.

This qualification has been accredited by National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) in United Kingdom and approved by MINISTRY OF LABOR (Kingdom of Bahrain).

Unit HSW1: Workplace safety foundations
• The foundations of health and safety
• The responsibility for health and safety
• Health and safety risk assessment and control
• Hazards and control associated with work equipment
• Transport safety
• Hazards and control associated with electricity
• Fire safety
• Hazards and control associated with manual handling and
repetitive movement
• Hazards and control associated with hazardous substances
• Hazards and control associated with the working environment

UNIT HSW2: Workplace-based risk assessment activity

Course Assessment:

UNIT HSW 1 is assessed by a 1 hour multiple-choice examination and Unit HSW2 is assessed by a 1 hour practical assessment carried out in the candidate's own workplace.
