Course details

This course is aimed at healthcare professionals and students who have an interest in music therapy. It will give an introduction to the therapeutic uses of music within a specialist palliative care and in care of the older person settings. The day may be of interest to anyone who would like to gain insight into the music therapy profession.

The day will:

  • outline what music therapy is and how it can be used within specialist palliative care and in care of the older person settings supported by case examples.
  • offer course participants opportunities to partake in an experiential workshop. 

On completion of the day participants will have:

  • a clearer understanding of music therapy within specialist palliative care and in care of the older person settings.
