Course details

The courses are designed for students to acquire fundamental skills to integrate creativity in Multimedia Design. These courses will serve as a good foundation for the thriving industry. Students will be trained in digital illustration, digital imaging and interactive design.

• Students will be presented a Certificate upon successful completion of all 4 short courses and passing all required assessment.

COURSE MODULES

Multimedia 1 - Digital Media Design 

In this course, students will be learning both basic design theory and software applications - Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, to equip them with competent digital imaging and illustrating knowledge and skills.

Multimedia 2 - 2D Animation 

Introduction of the principles of animation, digital 2D animation workflow and provides the fundamental knowledge and techniques of creating digital 2D graphics and 2D animating using Flash. Students will demonstrate the understanding through the execution of a series of hands on exercises and project.

Multimedia 3 - 3D Media Design

This course is intended for students who want to learn the basics of 3D media. Students will learn and create 3D models, adding of texture, set up lightings and camera, and render to various screen platforms. Basic features of 3D software application, Maya, are explained and then put into practice in a series of step-by-step exercises.

Multimedia 4 - Interactive Media Design

In this course, students will be learning how to apply basic design theory to create interactive media projects using software Flash and Dreamweaver. There will be weekly step by step demonstrations on software applications, exercises to enable students understand the weekly topics and some research works for their project.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be 17 years old & above.

Prerequisites for registration of short courses

• For Multimedia 3 & 4, applicants need to complete Multimedia 1 & 2
