This is a course, which combines a range of multimedia skills. Those who complete this course may gain entry into the of a Level 8 degree course. We have established a formal link with, The Institute of Technology Tralee, and we are in the process of developing similar links with other colleges
Entry requirements:
This one year course is a progression from the QQI Level 5 Multimedia or other relevant QQI Level 5 courses. Mature students welcome. Mature applicants will be considered on their own merits.

- Digital Video Processing and Production
These modules are subject to change by QQI in 2015.
The remaining credit value of 1 can be obtained by using one
or more components from level 5 or 6.
How to apply/Application deadline:
Applications for all our courses will be available on the website and in the college from 1st week in January 2015 for all courses commencing in September 2015. Interviews will be held for all courses later in the year generally in May/June. To apply, simply download an application form and forward to the College.
Career Opportunities:
Students who complete the course successfully will be prepared for careers with companies that specialise in the design and production of Interactive Multimedia, Advertising, Film Editing and Web Design & Development.
Further Study Opportunities:
This course is linked to CR112 Multimedia in Cork Institute of Technology and successful graduates may be eligible for entry to year 2. Successful graduates may also be eligible for entry into a range of degree courses across the country, for example in: Limerick Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Tralee.

This department contains the most up to date hardware and software.
Facilities include wireless Apple Mac, wide screen G5s, a range of digital video cameras, still cameras, scanners, sound recording equipment, music/soundtrack production equipment, colour and black & white laser printers and ink jet printers. We have a green screen animation room, in which students can produce stop-motion animations, with the option of mixing them with live video. 3D computer animations can also be produced using Cinema 4D.
Software includes; Cinema 4D, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Microsoft Office.
