Course details

This course is designed to intro­duce stu­dents to the dynamic, cre­ative field of Mul­ti­me­dia. Stu­dents will develop pro­fi­cient skills using core appli­ca­tions within the Adobe Cre­ative Suite of soft­ware and will also develop key skills relat­ing to time man­age­ment, team-work, and inde­pen­dent study skills. Stu­dents will receive a solid intro­duc­tion to Image Manip­u­la­tion, Dig­i­tal Illus­tra­tion, Dig­i­tal Ani­ma­tion, Inter­ac­tive Media and Web Author­ing /Design.

Stu­dents who suc­cess­fully com­plete this course may pur­sue a career in the mul­ti­me­dia indus­try, either directly or through fur­ther study. Grad­u­ates can apply for degree courses in Insti­tutes of Tech­nol­ogy through­out the coun­try and to a range of Uni­ver­si­ties offer­ing Media related degree courses e.g. DCU and NUIMaynooth.
