This course will provide you with the specialist skills necessary to find challenging and fulfilling employment in the dynamic I.T. sector. Or if you wish, you can further your education and obtain higher qualifications in computing.
This course enables you to become an independent, critically-minded specialist capable of analysing industry trends and opportunities in the field of Big Data. You’ll be able to take intelligent advantage of those trends and opportunities in the field of Big Data via robust and efficient practical solutions to data storage and analysis.
We prepare graduates to rigorously apply appropriate research, design and implementation strategies in the development of Big Data solutions. You’ll be about to perform in-depth, coherent, and ultimately significant reports on the state-of-the-art and the likely future directions of the field, with respect to a problem domain.
The course extends your in-depth knowledge, understanding and practical skills in meeting the specific technical and design requirements of exacting industry standards as they emerge.
This programme contains eight taught modules and a final Dissertation / Dissertation by Practice. Four modules are taught per semester; so learners complete eight taught modules over two semesters and then complete a project over a period of twelve weeks. The overall programme is one calendar year long. The learners who start in September, complete taught modules by following May and complete their projects over the summer, thus completing entire programme within one calendar year.
