MS Word is the word processing program of choice for most people around the world.

Creating and laying out good-quality documents is a key skill in the office of today. Whether you are working for someone else, running your own business or studying at college for example the professionalism of your work will be seen in the documents you produce using MS Word.

MS Word Essentials skills include:

  • Basics of Word
  • Text layout, formatting and styles
  • Creating simple tables
  • Inserting images
  • Previews and Printing

Course Aims

The course is for anyone with an interest in producing everyday documents in Word. It takes participants from the beginning to being able to create and edit practical documents It shows participants how to create basic tables and layouts.

Participants gain an understanding of the use of Tabs for quickly adjusting text settings in their document They also learn how to place graphics and pictures in their documents. Participants are also introduced to the idea of ‘mail merge’
