Course details

Participants will build upon their basic knowledge of MS-Word 2007. They will learn the intermediate and advanced features of MS-Word for creating business documents. The course involves brief lectures highlighting concepts covered in the text. Participants will demonstrate their problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities as well as their computer skills in completing lesson application activities.

Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Create long tables and multiple tables
  • Perform calculations in tables
  • Sort paragraphs, tables, and lists
  • Create versions of documents
  • Compare and merge documents
  • Perform a mail merge
  • Sort and filter a data source and format objects that are drawn
  • Create WordArt, customize images and align objects
  • Create watermarks and create a newsletter style layout
  • Create, edit, run and copy macros
  • Create and compile an index
  • Create a concordance file, master documents and subdocuments
