Course details

This module offers learners an insight to the fundamentals of laser welding, laser cladding, electron beam welding, modeling and simulation, as well as process monitoring and control. Furthermore, materials selection, metallurgy, and welding processes linked to industrial applications are included in this module. Students will learn the different welding and cladding technologies based on high-energy beams. This module also provides case studies and lab sessions that further enhance the adoption of these technologies in real production environments.

Why This Course

This module will help participants build up competencies required to understand the effects of the high-energy beam welding processes (laser beam welding, hybrid welding, laser Module 2: Implement Laser Beam Welding cladding, and electron beam welding), welding defects, weld design, modeling and simulation, process monitoring and control, as well as the weldability of alloys such as aluminum, nickel-based, titanium, Ni alloys, and stainless steels. Learning how to implement state-of-the-art high-energy beam welding technologies will benefit participants who get an opportunity to upgrade their skills as well as companies that stand to improve their competitiveness.

What You Will Learn
