The Aim of our Microsoft Word Introductory courses is to give the learner a basic understanding of the operation of Word, including creating, saving & editing of simple documents, adding tables & lists ways and to improve document appearance.

Who Should Attend?

• This course would be for those people with little or no Word skills, but who wish gain a basic knowledge of the area.

• Using Word be able to create and manipulate documents.

• Creating a document
• Saving a document
• Editing a document - Find & Select text, Modify text, Find & Replace text
• Formatting text
• Formatting paragraphs & controlling layout
• Borders & Shading
• Tables - adding, modifying & formatting
• Converting table to text
• Managing lists
• Inserting symbols & characters
• Adding Images
• Controlling page appearance - border, colour, headers & footers
• Templates
• Proofing a document - spelling, grammar etc.

Training Methods:

• Classroom based, using Microsoft programmes & interactive discussion.
• There will also be course hand-outs & exercises to do at home.
