About Midland Energy Training & Assessment Centre METAC

METAC Training is the largest energy training and assessment centre in Ireland and the UK  and trains approximately 2,700 people annually. Their realistic training facilities equip people with practical skills for the modern workforce that are nationally recognised by FAS/SOLAS, FETAC/QQI, City & Guilds, UKAS, Bord Gais and OFTEC, amongst others. All cTheirses They run are independently certified and verified by external agencies.

In September 2010, They invested and installed a 16 metre 6KW wind turbine and accompanying Photovoltaic systems at Their centre which was supported and grant aided by Laois Partnership Ltd. making us the first and only training centre to do so. This facility now allows us to expand Their renewable energy training to incorporate wind training.

On completion of Their cTheirses all participants are equipped with practical skills that are nationally recognised by FAS/SOLAS, Bord Gais, City & Guilds and OFTEC.
