Course details

NACLI is the community leadership development arm of the Peoples Association (PA). NACLI provides systematic community leadership training and development of PAs sta and grassroots leaders to equip them with competencies for their role in
strengthening and building social capital.

Structure

Students complete six compulsory core courses, four electives (to be chosen from a basket of electives) and a
Masters Dissertation (which can be substituted by two additional courses, subject to approval). Upon successful
completion of the six core courses, an Advanced Diploma will be awarded by the National Community Leadership
Institute (NACLI).

Theory and practice in community
leadership and social development
Economic and political development for
social well-being
Gender, ethnicity and diversity
Community leadership and organizational
development
Methods of social research and knowledge
application
Sustainable project design, anagement
and evaluation

Four Electives (to be chosen):
Health, education and welfare in relation
to social capital
Con ict resolution and community
negotiations
Social enterprise and corporate social
responsibility
Resources, population and environmental
management
Civil society, leadership and capacity
building
Issues in community and social
development
