Course details

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme from Anglia Ruskin University is delivered in both Full-Time and Part-Time mode. The MBA programme has been developed to meet the needs of middle/senior managers and entrepreneurs in the running of businesses and to facilitate their progression to higher-level and more efficient roles within their organisation. Managers need to be aware of issues, able to analyse their potential outcomes and consequences and decide how to react.

The MBA has a strong reputation for providing managers and entrepreneurs with the foundation necessary for handling complex issues in a turbulent business environment. Leaders need to be able to handle challenges, be thoughtful, analytical and innovative.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to satisfy all the following entry requirements:

• EITHER to hold a degree from a UK university, normally at a minimum of lower second class honours;
• OR to hold an academic or professional qualification which is equivalent in breadth and depth to a UK honours degree in accordance with the Academic Regulations. This may include a degree from a non-UK university;
• (for applicants whose first language is not English) to demonstrate certified proficiency in the English language of at least IELTS 6.5 (or its equivalent), unless they can provide satisfactory evidence that they have been taught and examined through the medium of English.

Notes for Applicants:

• Graduates with no work experience can apply.
• Applicants who do not hold an academic or professional qualification but who can demonstrate, relevant work experience in a post of management or professional responsibility over an extended period of time may be admitted if, in the opinion of the Admissions Tutor, they are capable of benefiting from and contributing to the MBA programme.

How will I be assessed?

100% Coursework, there are no written examinations.

Each credit-rated module is assessed by an assignment, often work or case-based. There are no formal examinations. This ensures that learning is context-specific and transferable. Assessments have a strong practical and professional orientation, enabling students to develop a range of practical management skills relevant to senior roles in their organisation. Work-based assignments are used where relevant and practical, to help students relate their learning to their work environment, increase knowledge of that environment, help raise their profile and ensure their sponsor gains immediate and practical benefits.
