The Micro-Enterprise Acceleration Institute (MEA-I) based in Geneva, took the initiative to develop the Micro-Enterprise Acceleration Programme (MAP). The programme is sponsored by Hewlett-Packard (HP) with the aim of bridging the use of technology in business. Smart Technology for a Smarter Business Programme is a technology-for-business training specially designed for entrepreneurs who are starting to run their own businesses

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to :

• Gain the confidence and skill to instantly put technology to use in business
• Become familiar with technical terms
• Understand how to save money, time, and frustration by using technology to build a smarter business
• Improve advertising and sales strategy and find out ways to reach customers more easily, faster , and more creatively
• Use existing technology in new and innovative ways , and discover special techniques helping to improve communication with customers
• Streamline their business process to manager time, information, inventory, and suppliers more effectively and efficiently

Contents:

• Flyers and brochures design samples, and using digital cameras, scanners and websites
• PDAs, smart email techniques, presentations, team collaboration
• Project planning, calendaring, contact and information management
• Financial documents, cash flow, budgeting, analysis and graphics

Prerequistes:

• Knowledge of, or experience with, basic business concepts
• Prior experience with computers
