Award Recognition
The Diploma in Management and Leadership is awarded by the Chartered Management Institute which is a globally recognised awarding body regulated and quality approved by Ofqual UK. The course is recognised to level 6 UK and is formally aligned to Level 7 (equivalent to Ordinary Bachelor Degree, Higher Diploma) on the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland (NFQ). The course allows direct progression to the CMI Level 9 Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership.

Course Aims
Upon completion of the course you will be able to:
- Understand how organisational culture can impact on organisational behavior
- Understand the principles of organisational ethics, the effect on corporate social responsibility, and understanding ethics in differing cultural values systems and ideologies.
- Identifying opportunities for change, modelling the change process and managing the change to produce expected outcomes.
- Organisational commitment to equality and persity, and its application and support throughout the organisation.
- Identify challenges and skills of making managerial decisions that must be made in support of the organisational objectives, purpose and vision.
- Create approaches to encourage Team Leadership and monitor Performance
- Understand Business functions, organizational structures and key skills required to integrate these functions across the organisation
- Understand Change Management and how to adapt and lead change
- Contextualise leadership in order to nurture a “human organisation”
- Critically assess Team dynamics
- Explore difference between Personal leadership and personal development
- Know the difference between coaching culture and leadership culture in the work place.
The main form of assessment is assignments led and supported by your lecturer/tutor. There are no exams.
