Course Description
Overview
To be a strong, effective manager, you need to be able to motivate and inspire your team whilst juggling the pressures of helping to run a business and interpret financial information.
So if you’ve newly promoted into a managerial or team leader role, or you’re looking to take your career to the next level, our Management Diploma will give you the skills needed to be highly effective.
The diploma covers core management skills and also provides more rounded information on business accounting and law, communication and leadership skills, as well as Microsoft Office training. You’ll work through a number of practical tools, which will leave you with the skills and confidence to return to your workplace confident in your ability to meet your new challenge.
Requirements
Every attempt is made to ensure that every Pitman Training Centre provides full recognition of any prior learning that has been undertaken. Students must though prove their competencies with recognised certification in order that the appropriate level of recognition is provided with reference to the learning programme being undertaken. In most cases, e.g. IT certification, we only recognise exams taken within the last three years and where students can show and demonstrate they have current skills.

Assessment
After the learner has completed their module material, there may be an option of sitting a mock examination. Learners are encouraged to do this and revise the recommended topics before sitting their final module examination.
All students have the right to appeal the result of any examination that they have undertaken in a Pitman Training Centre. We maintain set procedures in this area and any student wishing to appeal must do so immediately after the result is notified to them. Students should contact the Training Manager in their Training Centre for further information regarding the Examination Results Appeals Procedure.
Accreditation
Pitman Training Diplomas and Certificates are highly regarded by employers, as Pitman Students have an in-depth understanding of their chosen subject.
Also if you are studying for a Pitman Training Diploma you may also have the chance to gain QQI (FETAC) certification as part of your course in one or more of the qualifications.
