Course Outline
Identify and groom successors
- Develop a succession management strategy
- Work with managers and identified successors to create and implement development and retention plans
- Review effectiveness of succession management approach
Support organisational learning and development
- Review existing learning and development systems and processes to identify required changes
- Consult with stakeholders to identify related issues
- Prioritise learning and development programmes for implementation
Engage all employees
- Support senior managers and all employees in the development of their professional, technical and managerial competencies
- Empower senior managers to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their personal development
Develop Strategic Leadership Networks
- Identify and prioritise networks which may provide strategic value
- Assess and review the constraints that may affect participation in networks
- Pursue collaborative opportunities that support mutually beneficial outcomes
Create a diverse and cooperative work environment
- Lead the development of strategies that support diversity and cooperation in the organization
- Manage relationships so that cross-cultural cooperation results in positive
- outcomes for individuals, teams and the organisation
- Adjust interpersonal style to the social and cultural business context
Participate in and support team building initiatives
- Identify innovative approaches to support team building
- Participate in team building activities with senior management team
