Course Objective

This workshop addresses the skills and knowledge required to lead innovation and creativity and to lead the achievement of results at an organisational level

Target Audience

This course is for senior management, directors and head of departments.

Course Outline

Build an environment conducive to taking risks

• Lead the development of a learning organisation
• Encourage enterprising behaviours and risk taking

Analyse opportunities for change and innovation

• Review organisational performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Encourage organisation members to prioritise opportunities for change and innovation

Apply systems thinking to lead change and innovation

• Identify potential blockers and drivers of change and innovation and prepare appropriate responses
• Identify strategies and utilise systems thinking
• Lead senior management team to develop and communicate the organisation’s change strategy

Establish business objectives

• Establish organisational business objectives
• Ensure support and buy-in from stakeholders
• Provide support and resources required

Establish strategies to manage and reward performance

• Work with stakeholders to identify performance management and remuneration requirements
• Delegate responsibility for implementing strategies to manage and reward performance

Monitor organisation performance

• Develop a strategy for measuring organisation performance
• Work with stakeholders to identify timeframes and systems to be used
• Define measures and sources of data to be used
• Monitor and assess emerging and identified risks of strategic impact to the organisation
• Ensure risks are assessed in relation to organisational risk management framework
