With our high quality teaching team and strong assessment strategy, we will ensure that learners get the most from their time with us, and move on in their careers or further study with significantly enhanced language skills.

This is our premium programme that gives you an additional 5 hours of tuition across two afternoons. At the levels of elementary and pre-intermediate you will receive additional general English. For those who are intermediate and above we provide an exciting range of elective options including:

Irish Culture and Society
This elective is designed to promote discussion and debate. You will focus on Irish history, culture and society. You will be encouraged to compare your own culture and traditions with those of Ireland and in doing so you will internalise, activate and take ownership of more complex language structures. This leads to overall improvement in fluency and confidence in language use.

The Language of Journalism
This elective is designed to develop English language use in journalistic contexts.
You will focus on developing key journalistic competencies across the four core language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. This development will be set in the context of current social, economic and political issues in Ireland, Europe and beyond.

Exam Preparation
This elective is designed to develop effective exam strategies and testing skills.
You will focus on preparation for externally accredited examinations such as IELTS, and the Cambridge suite of examinations. You will focus on clearly understanding the rubric of your chosen examination, and the different task types and questions that may be presented. You will also focus on employing effective task completion and timekeeping strategies to give you the best chance
of exam success.

Business English
This elective is designed to develop language use in business contexts.
You will focus on gaining a wide-ranging overview of the business world. You will also acquire key communication skills that are necessary for professional situations and further studies within the field.

English for Academic Purposes
This elective is designed for learners who wish to progress onto academic programmes.
You will focus on the development of language skills in academic contexts including developing an awareness of academic style in both written and spoken discourse. You will focus on the organisation and structure of academic texts and presentations as well as developing skills for effective participation in seminars and lectures

Entry Requirements
Entry requirements should be provided for each location a course may be available at. In most cases however a course may only be available in Cork, Dublin or Limerick.

General English 15 hours per week (Morning only) This is our standard programme structure and allows you to take full advantage of all the resources, facilities and supports that we have whilst giving you free time in the afternoon.
