Course details
Everything runs on Linux these days, from the world's most powerful supercomputers, to your car and your fridge. It's the undisputed king of the server, and it's becoming a popular choice for your home computer as well.
In the rapidly changing world of IT, there is probably no other skill that is both as useful, and as stable as knowing your way around Linux. Familiarity with Linux pays tremendous dividends for any type of software professional, and unlike many other tech skills (JSframeworks, I'm looking at you...), this is knowledge you're likely to put to good use throughout a long career - many of these concepts have been around since the 70s, and they're not going anywhere.
This crash course takes you through the fundamentals of how to work with the Linux command line. We'll set up a Linux machine in the cloud (it's really simple), and we'll go through everything you need to know in order tobecome a comfortable user of Linux.
