This course provides a more detailed look at the Linux operating system. This course is aimed at learners who have some experience with Linux and want to further their knowledge or who have completed Linux 1 at CCT.
Programme Aims and Objectives
This course aims to provide a deeper look at the Linux operating system in both the desktop and server environments. Once this course is completed the learner will be able to:
- Assess the most appropriate Linux distribution to use
- Download, install and configure a Linux distribution
- Review the current hardware device drivers and resolve outstanding issues
- Monitor system resources in real time
- Develop custom scripts to retrieve current variables and states
