Licensed Vehicle Tester Training Scheme (LVTTS) Administration (Light Vehicle)

Course details

This course covers the legal and administrative obligations of Licensed Vehicle Testing and is now conducted on campus only.

The course is run over two days (all day Monday and Tuesday) Some hands-on procedures are involved (the taking and storing of vehicle photographs) The completing of the relevant forms and bookwork and the set up of a data base.

Trade qualifications are not required.

Prerequisites

Applicants may be a proprietor/owner or a director of a business applying to Vic Roads for a Licensed Vehicle Testers Licence or they may be a qualified mechanic holding an examiners accreditation required to sign part A of the roadworthy certificate or an administrative person completing the required bookwork for the LVT.

Applicants MUST hold a current Victorian drivers licence

Course Content

At the completion of the course, participants will:

Be aware of the liabilities and responsibilities involved in being a Licensed Vehicle Tester.

Be able to correctly complete all of the documentation relevant to the duties of Licensed Vehicle Testing.

Be able to access and apply the information and standards that are required when conducting a roadworthy inspection.

Be able to store and retrieve relevant data from a computer, digital camera and portable hard drive back up.
