Course details
This is a QQI Level 5 Course. Successful students may progress onto QQI Level 6 in year 2 or alternatively students may seek employment in the field of Health and Social Care, e.g. care assistance, family support worker, classroom assistant. Social Studies programmes are delivered by a team of tutors who have suitable academic qualifications plus experience in the field of Health and Social Care

Career Prospects

Candidates most likely to benefit from the course will have a keen interest in Social Care. Selection is on the basis of an interview to determine the individual's suitability for the course. Open to mature students
