Course details
Welcome to this course: Learning Distributed Systems. A distributed system is a network that consists of autonomous computers that are connected using a distribution middleware. They help in sharing different resources and capabilities to provide users with a single and integrated coherent network. It is a model in which components located on networked computers communicate and coordinate their actions by passing messages. The components interact with each other in order to achieve a common goal. Three significant characteristics of distributed systems are: concurrency of components, lack of a global clock, and independent failure of components.
In this course, you'll learn:- Explore five key areas of distributed systems
- Learn distributed storage system
- Learn parallel and distributed computation
- Learn distributed messaging system
- Time in distributed systems
- Learn Distributed Consensus
- Understand the concepts of parallel and distributed computing
At the end of this course, you'll learn everything that you need to know about getting started with Distributed Systems. So let's get started.
