Overall aims of Leadership Skills
The aim of this programme is to equip you with relevant knowledge, skills and competences to work in an effective leadership role. This will help deliver better results for an organisation / community / individual level through people, their skills, and their attitude.
What exactly is Leadership
Leadership is ‘getting others to want to do things’. “Leadership is the ability to persuade others to seek defined objectives enthusiastically. It is the human factor which binds a group together and motivates it towards goals.”

- Recognise the importance the group dynamics, including life cycles, roles in groups, avoiding group think and the impact of power on groups
- Recognise the importance of planning and carrying out of strategy planning
- Understand the leadership role and techniques involved in the planning and delivering of a project through effective leadership and team management and performance
- Identify effective communication skills and how this impacts on leadership
- Evaluate yourself as a leader through the learning process and through self analysis
