Course details
The main aim of this programme is to give participants the knowledge and information on Project Management that will complement their existing skillbase and improve their employability. The focus of programme will be on equipping the participant with skills that will be helpful to them in accessing work in a wide range of industries and work environments.
On completion of this course the is anticipated that participants will be equipped to;
- Define a project.
- Formulate a project management proposal by establishing rationale based on needs analysis.
- Plan, sequence and manage a project.
- Create a realistic project budget through using financial planning and budget models.
- Devise a risk analysis for a project to include the preparation of a contingency plan.
- Work effectively within a project team.
- Work with stakeholders and champions.
- Apply appropriate controls to achieve

About Waterford Chamber Skillnet
Skillnets is an enterprise-led support body whose mission is to enhance the skills of people in employment in Irish industry to support competitiveness and employability. The organisation is led by employer and employee stakeholders – IBEC, CCI, SFA, CIF, ICTU – in partnership with the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment and receives funds from the National Training Fund.
