Course details

This course introduces the learner to the server side application delivery concepts for industry standard Java Spring web applications to provide a seamless user experience. This course is aimed at software developers with a strong foundation in Java Spring or who have completed Java Spring & User Interfaces 2 at CCT.

Programme Aims and Objectives

This course aims to introduce the learner to the advanced concepts of web application delivery to reduce bottlenecks and performance issues. Once this course has been completed the learner will be able to:

  • Assess the needs of a web application
  • Design a strategy to reduce the strain on web application
  • Implement a server side optimizations for data storage and delivery
  • Utilise cloud based services to reduce overhead and aid scalability of web applications

This course introduces the learner to server side optimizations and data delivery through cloud base services to maximize the efficiency of web applications. Topics covered during this module include:

  • Server Caching
  • CDN networks
  • Spring database interfaces
  • Data transport types
  • Web server optimizations
  • Resource monitoring and allocation
  • Cloud based storage solution integration
  • Framework modifications to aid delivery
  • User side processing
  • Server load balancing
  • Redundancy plan creation and implementation
