• Demonstrate correct use of cosmetics
• Cosmetic Science
• Case Studies on 5 clients

Fashion, Theatre & Media Make-up 

• Effects of lighting on different make-up
• Principles of colour
• Working as Make-up Artist
• Fashion and TV/Film Make-up Application
• Application of False Eyelashes
• Historical Period Make-Up and Hairstyling
• Theatrical and Character Make-up
• Portfolio of 30 characters

Special Effects 

• Application of various casualty effects
• Use of bald caps
• Technique used for application of false hair
• Checking of skin conditions
• Hygiene & professionalism
• Make-up removal
• Contraindications to special effects

Pre-requisite:  

ITEC Level 2 Unit in Professional Conduct and Business Awareness (can be taken concurrently with this award),  or equivalent.

Entry Requirement: 

• Min. 16 years old, 
• GCE “N” Level or equivalent. Proficient in English or Chinese
• However, exemptions may be made for adult returners with experience of the work place
