Course details
The course is designed to meet the requirements of the ITILV3 Foundation level certificate, and also to provide the participants with the requisite knowledge to recognize how ITIL may be applied to improve service support and delivery processes in the workplace.
The Foundation level certificate is a prerequisite to studying further, advanced certification levels and provides the student with 2 credits towards the ITIL advanced diploma.
The ITILv3 Foundation course is delivered over the course of three days, followed by a multiple choice examination. The examination is closed book, and candidates must achieve 26 from 40 questions to pass.
The course delivery format comprises theory, practical assignments and examination practice.
ITIL certification is increasingly demanded for any IT professional working in the IT services environment, whether in management, planning or operational support. Although an IT background is an advantage, the level of technical detail covered is minimal since the framework ITIL is a generic process-framework and is not tied to any particular technology or organisational context.
