Course details
The aim of this two day course is to equip the participants with knowledge and understanding of ethical and corporate social responsibility (CSR) from an Islamic perspective and applied in Islamic financial institutions. The banking profession is becoming increasingly concerned with the ethical beliefs of its members following various high profile scandals in recent years. Ethics is now being stressed in training programmes and in the workplace. In the case of Islamic financial institutions, ethics is important because it forms the foundation of their business philosophy. The Islamic ethical system differs from other contemporary ethical systems in a number of ways and one of the major differences is the source of Islamic ethics, which is the Shariah.
