Introduction
The games industry in Ireland is a strong and growing industry with Government agencies supporting its growth. The explosion in on-line activity and the social media revolution are driving phenomenal growth in the games industry.
This course is designed to introduce technologies and techniques involved in the design and development of games. Students will learn to view games as a storytelling medium and to convey concepts through storyboarding techniques and computer graphics. The course is intended to provide a solid foundation in games design and development.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate/LCA
Applicants should have achieved five passes at ordinary level. LCA applicants should submit details of credits awarded.
Others including Mature Students
Applicants without the entry requirements are welcome and will be assessed individually.
Advisory Meeting
Applicants will have an advisory meeting to offer guidance and to ensure course suitability. Places will be offered, on a first come basis, following the outcome of the personal Advisory Meeting, subject to the applicant meeting the entry requirements of the course. Applicants will also be advised on course costs and registration details.
Career Opportunities
Graduates will have the necessary skills to secure employment in the games and computer graphics industries. This course offers school leavers considering a career in the games industry the opportunity to progress to further studies.
