Introduction
The retail sector is currently Ireland's largest employer, with over a quarter of a million people employed, which represents 14.5% of Ireland's total workforce. Retailing is a diverse sector comprising of a wide variety of areas such as food, fashion, beauty and healthcare, consumer goods, financial services and leisure etc.
This one year course is designed for students who have already completed an entry level business course and now wish to enhance their employment prospects at management level within the retail sector. It may also suit mature applicants who wish to return to work and need to retrain and acquire a professional qualification.
This course offers a combination of core business and management subjects applied to the retail sector.

- Assessment is based on a combination of work submitted during the year and exams.
- This course is certified by QQI
- Learners who successfully complete all 8 subjects will be awarded a QQI level 6 Advanced Certificate in Retail Management (6M4385)
Entry Requirements
- Applicants should have a QQI Level 5 in Business or equivalent.
