The subject will impart an operational knowledge and understanding of inventory management principles and techniques, roles and responsibilities, and the impact that inventory can have on a business. This subject covers topics such as inventory management fundamentals, ordering fulfillment and production planning.
Objectives
The aims of this subject are to provide students with:
- Methods to evaluate the value of stocks in an organisation.
- Tools to determine optimum order quantities under differing demand and lead time condition.
- Methods for forecasting demand in inventory management.
