You should be able to do the following before attending this course. This knowledge will be assumed and will not be covered on the course.
- Create a pivot table
- Use vlookups
- Apply conditional formatting
- Be familiar with the basics of Excel:
- Using plus/minus/multiply/divide
- Know how to fix a cell/row/column (using $$/F4 in formulas)
What is covered in the course
- How to set up your dashboard
- Identifying what you want to measure
- Create interactive pivot tables, complete with dropdown lists,slicers and charts.
- Learn how to effectively use the GetPivotdata function.
- Use Advanced capabilities of pivot tables.
- Case studies – sales data and accounting data
- The course content may vary slightly on the day depending on participants.

The training network evolved from the promoter organisation, the Information Technology Association Galway (ITAG).
