Internal auditing is fundamental to any quality improvement initiative. In particular, OHSAS 18001 requires that an organisation conduct internal OH&SMS audits to determine the effectiveness of its health and safety management system. Auditors carrying out these internal audits should be competent to do so.
Thousands of internal audits are performed each year providing little internal business benefit. This course focuses on auditing OHSAS 18001 for real quality improvement and performance rather than just compliance.
This two-day course provides training in the purpose and structure of OHSAS 18001 and then trains the delegate in developing the skills necessary to be an effective internal auditor

If you happen to have access to a copy of OHSAS 18001, please bring a copy of the standard with you. If you don’t have access, a copy will be provided for you and will be collected at the end of the course.
