Course details
The courses are designed for beginners to help them to acquire fundamental skills in Interior Design. The training includes technical drafting knowledge, basic 3D modelling, basic computer drafting skills and visual presentation techniques that are essential skills for interior design.
Terms and conditions
- Students will be presented a Certificate upon successful completion of all 4 short courses and passing all required assessment.
COURSE MODULES
Interior Design 1 - Technical Drawing
This course aims to introduce to students the basic knowledge of drafting as a communication tool. The understanding of architectural, interior design and technical standards will help them to develop the ability to carry out measured drawings of spaces and 3D products.
Interior Design 2 - Basic Computer Drafting
This course focuses on the fundamentals of computer drafting that students will develop using computer as a drawing and manipulation tool in the preparation of production drawings.
Interior Design 3 - Basic 3D Modelling
This course covers the use of 3 dimensional modelling programmes to create visualize 3D ideas with basic functions of modelling, exploring materials and modification of lighting. Student will learn to use the software intuitively through a process of familiarisation and duplicating existing notable contemporary environment design.
Interior Design 4 - Colour Perspective
This course aims to develop basic skills necessary for an interior designer to communicate visually. This includes developing skills in freehand drawing / sketching, perspective drawing, the use of colour and the rendering of drawings.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be 17 years old & above.
Prerequisites for registration of short courses
- For Interior Design 3 & 4, applicants need to complete Interior Design 1 & 2
