The whole world is still looking for a cure for HIV/AIDS. While the medical solution is not on the table yet, experts working in this field have become much wiser over the past decade about what is really the best way of dealing with this enormous challenge at a practical level. This course will address the risk and impact of HIV/AIDS in a corporate environment. It will equip you to set up a risk plan for a company to effectively deal with the impact of AIDS in your work environment.
Course Content
- Common responses and attitudes to HIV/AIDS
- Clarifying misunderstandings involving the biomedical picture, sexual behaviour, HIV testing and management of infections
- HIV counselling and treatment involving antiretroviral treatment, promoting health and proper nutrition in maintaining a healthy body, mind and soul
- AIDS Risk Management
Assessment
This course is non-examinable. All the required assignments and a mini-project must be completed and sent to the College for marking. All assignments and the mini-project must be successfully passed in order to obtain the award.
