    Insurance Administrators get a good grounding in the insurance industry which can open up a series of interesting career opportunities. Policies and claims often differ from person to person, so your day to day activities might include dealing with customer issues and queries, processing insurance policy or claims paperwork or handling insurance renewals for customers.

    Upon completion of this course you will have also successfully completed the first module of three for the Professional Certificate in Insurance as part of your studies.

    This achievement means that by the time you graduate, you'll also be one third of the way to achieving a professional insurance qualification which is a requirement of the Central Bank under their Minimum Competency Code. This combination is very attractive for companies recruiting in the insurance industry.

    We_They first opened its doors to the public in 1908. From our earliest incarnation the College recognised the importance of coordinating commercial education with the business life of the city, so that, as our first Principal D.A. Coakley stated, “students may be more easily enabled to pass from their study to the practice of business.” The College has maintained that tradition and continually evolves to meet the educational needs of the region.

    The College was in the forefront of the development of Further Education Courses in the 1980’s and continually liaises with commercial and educational bodies in the locality to ensure that all our courses are relevant to the learner and quality assured.

    The College remains the largest College of Further Education in the State with approaching two thousand full-time day students attending the College last year. There were also over two and a half thousand students who attended evening courses in the college, on a part-time basis, in the past academic year. The College offers a perse range of courses in an innovative and flexible learning environment. Our dedicated, enthusiastic staff ensure that every student is given the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

    Our College places special emphasis on preparing our graduates for the workplace however we have in addition established progression links from our courses to Third Level Colleges in Ireland and the UK, facilitating the advancement of our graduates to Higher Education.
