The IMI Diploma in Compliance has been developed in close conjunction with a range of industry and regulatory stakeholders to directly address the professional needs of managers in the compliance environment and equip them with the knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to succeed in their roles.

Programme Impact

By completing the IMI Diploma in Regulatory Management you will be able to:

  • Evaluate the regulatory environment of your organisation in a compliance context.
  • Develop and apply a capability to assess your organisation’s strategic compliance position and objectives and those of its stakeholders.
  • Recognise and apply the basic principles of the management of risk as it relates to compliance.
  • Argue and negotiate effectively on behalf of your organisation both with regulatory agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Explain the concept of risk–based compliance and recommend appropriate policy responses.
  • Use various approaches to motivate individuals and groups and identify the drivers behind organisational and individual change.
  • Develop core management skills that are foundational for compliance activities
  • Demonstrate an ability to integrate knowledge, to research, analyse, assess and deal with complex phenomena, issues and situations.

How does it work?

Step 1: Successfully complete any one of the suite of eleven IMI Diploma programmes.

Step 2: Successfully complete a second IMI Diploma of your choosing.*

Step 3: Successfully complete the IMI Business Research Project.

Who is eligible?

If you have earned a Level 9 award from another academic institution, or if you completed an IMI Diploma since October 2008, you may be considered eligible to proceed directly to the second stage of the MoB.
