Course details
The Linux command line is a powerful tool. Many users prefer it over graphical interfaces. This course is specifically targeted toward the BASH shell, the shell most Linux distributions use by default.
In this course I will tell you about "root" account on a Linux computer is the account with full privileges. Root access is often necessary for performing commands in Linux, especially commands that affect system files. Because root is so powerful, it's recommended to only request root access when necessary, as opposed to logging in as the root user. This can help prevent accidental damage to important system files.
The way files are copied in Linux depend on your distribution and file system. All versions of Linux could copy files from the command line. There are also a number of file managers both text based and GUI that could be used.
