Course details

The course will address teaching and intervention strategies appropriate for students with autism.

The focus will be on how educational assessment and planning can be done effectively. Workshop based activities will be a feature of the training, providing opportunities for participants to apply knowledge gained in lectures to their educational planning.

Training will include the following areas:

• Overview of visual teaching methods, communication techniques, behavioural interventions and sensory-based interventions.
• overview of assessment and planning for students with autism.
• integration of teaching and intervention methods within education plans
