Course details
The aim of this course is to introduce students to journalism and to provide them with a working knowledge of the media industry in Ireland.
Course Requirements
Students applying for this course should have passed the Leaving Certificate in five subjects including English and have achieved at least 1 C3 Grade in Higher Level papers. Applicants will be interviewed. Mature applicants welcome.
Students applying directly from QQI Certificate courses require a minimum of 205 points generated from 8 relevant full-value modules. Points are awarded as follows:
Level 5 Modules:
- Pass = 20 points
- Merit = 35 points
- Distinction = 50 points
All applicants whose first language is not English will be tested at entry.
All applicants will be interviewed.
