Credit managers have the final authority and responsibility to accept or reject credit applications in order to mitigate financial credit risk within the organisation. In extending credit to businesses, a credit manager analyses detailed financial reports, interviews the representatives of the various companies, and reviews credit agency reports to determine the debt repayment records of such firms. The primary purpose of the Higher Diploma: Credit Management qualification is to provide qualifying learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a competent Credit Manager.
