Course details

Construction Management provides a very rewarding career path for people who enjoy being a team player and like to be challenged in their work. Many graduates enjoy filling the traditional construction manager role, whilst others find a place for themselves in many of the niche areas of construction. This programme provides firm foundations and an excellent grounding in the fundamental skills of construction management allowing you to contribute as part of the management team for construction projects. The programme also provides a good basis for future study, should you find you have caught the construction management bug.

Programme Modules

The programme provides a good understanding of some of the key elements and skills of construction management. Core subjects cover construction technology at domestic level (year one) and non-domestic level (year two) this is a fast moving area with many new technologies emerging to meet the demands of sustainability. The construction management module gives you a broad understanding of the procedures used by construction companies to manage elements such as production, programming, health & safety and quality. You will also develop a range of practical and marketable skills in such areas as CAD and Land Surveying. A collection of other specially selected modules will broaden your understanding of construction process and organisation.

Career Opportunities

Graduates gain employment as part of the management team on construction projects and can progress to more senior levels over time.
