Labour Relations Specialists act as mediators by advising and counselling labour and management to prevent and, when necessary, resolve disputes over labour agreements or other labour relations’ issues. The Higher Certificate: Commerce: Labour Relations presents you with the knowledge to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the nature of labour relations and the parties involved, specifically trade unions, the State, employers and employer organisations. Skill sets applicable to the programme enable the reviewing of the societal, historical and legal development of labour relations in South Africa. It furthermore defines the terms in labour relations, mechanisms for registration and the basic rights of employees and employers in order to establish the relevant skills and competencies required for specialisation in the demanding field of Labour Relations Management.
Entrance Requirement
Grade 12 (Std 10) or equivalent or 2 years verifiable and relevant working experience.
