What is this course about?
The aims of this programme are to provide students with:
A broad knowledge of the principles and applications of mechanical engineering;
The mathematical knowledge and skills that are relevant to engineering;
Drafting, IT, Communication and administration skills.
What are the minimum entry requirements?
Ideally candidates for this programme will have Mechanical or Electrical craft backgrounds or those involved in maintenance or engineering functions or plant operators who can demonstrate that they have achieved the required entry standard may be accepted as candidates for the programme.
All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
Progression routes from this programme
Students who successfully complete this programme may proceed to the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
