Qualified Forklift Drivers who wish to operate heavy forklifts
OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course, participants should be able to operate heavy forklifts safely and proficiently
COVERAGE
- Specifications and description of the forklift
- Daily checks and their significance
- Instruments and controls
- Operating procedures
- Operational do’s and don’ts
- Practical exercises in handling loads
REQUIREMENTS
Participants must be qualified to operate forklifts (below 5 tonnes).
Be at least 18 years old and in good health and not be subject to deafness, defective sight or any other infirmity, which would render them unfit to perform the duties of a forklift operator. A medical certificate of physical fitness is required for those aged 60 years old and above.
FUNDING
For NTUC members, this course is approved for UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) funding.

End of Course
Upon passing the test, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Successful Completion. Participants’ with PSA passes will have Code “H” endorsed on their PSA passes. This will permit them to operate heavy forklifts within PSA’s premises
