Course details
This course is designed to equip the learner with the academic knowledge and practical skills essential for working in a healthcare team. Its purpose is two-fold. Firstly, it is a stand-alone qualification for employment as a Care Assistant. Secondly, it can be used as a route to Further Education at Third-Level. Centre based learning will take place at CCFE in our fully equipped practical ward. Practical experience of working in the healthcare sector is an essential part of this course. Students will therefore complete a period of professional practice in a variety of caring situations.
Garda vetting must be successfully completed for all courses in the Department of Health Services, Childcare & Youth Work

Career Options
