Course Aim
To prepare learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the Health Care Support Area.

Entry Requirements:
Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI/ FETAC Level 4. Mature students with relevant life or work experience. All candidates will be interviewed individually.
Work Experience:
Work Experience is a compulsory part of the course. Garda Vetting is required and will be organised through the college.
Certification:
QQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Care Support. Certificate in Patient Handling. Certificate in First Aid.
Prospects:
Successful completion of the course will enable learners to seek employment in the community and health services area or take up further study at Third Level through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
