Minimum Entry Requirements
Established Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme or equivalent (e.g. NFQ Level 3 or 4 award made by QQI). For mature students relevant work experience will be considered in place of the above. All students will be interviewed to assess their suitability. Participants must be 16 years of age at least on commencing the course.
Progression Routes
Students may progress to third level colleges through the Higher Education Links Scheme to do a linked course.
Career Options
On completion of the course students may find employment as care assistants in a variety of settings (Hospitals, Community and Residential Care)
